MOSCOW, Idaho - A season filled with highlights is nearing its end, as Idaho Swim and Dive is bound for the Lone Star State in anticipation of the annual conference championships. This week will mark the first MPSF meet in school history for UI after departing from the WAC the year prior.
Hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), the meet will stretch over four days in the Vaqueros' home pool, the City of Pharr-PSJA Natatorium, in Pharr, TX. Day one, on Wednesday, will consist of relays and the 1M dive for the Vandals, followed by the freestyle and 3M on Thursday, butterfly and IM on Friday, and backstroke and platform to finish the competition.
Last season featured a standout outing for Idaho in the program's final WAC championship. Ginger Kiefer set four school records en route to three individual conference titles, while Madelynn Butler, Katy Foley, Ella Haskins, and Grace Ruble captured the all-time mark in the 200 Y Free Relay. Butler, Ruble, Haskins, and Sydney Heasman won the gold in the 400 Y Free Relay.
Live swimming results can be tracked on the MeetMobile app and will be made available on govandals.com. Diving marks can be followed at DiveMeets.com. The action will be livestreamed on Game on Live Studio (GOLS) and the broadcast.
