MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho Women's Tennis team will travel to Utah this weekend to continue conference play. The Vandals will compete against Weber State on Friday, February 27 at 10:30 a.m. and Utah State on Sunday, March 1 at 8:30 a.m.
ABOUT IDAHO
The Idaho Vandals women's tennis team kicked off conference play last weekend against Montana State. The Vandals won 5-2 against the Bobcats and beat Lewis-Clark State the following day, 7-0. This improved Idaho's overall record to 5-6 and a conference record of 1-0. The Black and Gold won five out of six doubles matches along with 10 out of 12 singles matches.

Mariam Hatem won their pair of singles matches over the weekend.
ABOUT WEBER STATE
Weber State will enter this weekend's matchup with a 0-6 overall record. The Vandals are the first Big Sky opponent they have played so far to kick off their conference campaign. In the off-season, the Wildcats played several teams, including Utah State, BYU, UNLV, and Utah Tech (twice). This season, the team is led by first-time coach and graduate assistant Ana Morett, who played for Weber State from 2020 to 2024. The Vandals will take on the Wildcats on Friday, February 27, at 10:30 a.m. in Ogden.
ABOUT UTAH STATE
Utah State earned its fifth win of the offseason against the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley last week, 7-0. In the 2024-25 season, the Aggies finished last in the Mountain West Conference but are currently sitting at seventh ahead of the regular season. Their overall record going into the match against the Vandals is 5-3, with their only losses being to Utah, Gonzaga, and Eastern Washington. Idaho will play in Logan, UT on Sunday, March 1 at 8:30 a.m.
