MOSCOW, Idaho – After a tough Friday afternoon, the Idaho Men's Tennis Team turned its attention to fellow Big Sky Conference members in Montana, in their final match at the Boise State Spring Invitational.

The Vandals got the day started on the right foot with Chetanna Amadike and Gabriel Moroder getting the win on court one. The Canadian and Italian natives won the doubles match 7(7)-6(3) against Baltazar Wiger-Nordas and Joseph Townes from the Griz. Amadike and Moroder secured the doubles point for the Vandals, getting the momentum started early.

In the singles, Amadike continued his successful Saturday, earning a singles point for the Vandals. Amadike made a statement against the Griz, defeating Baltazar Wiger-Nordas in a 6-3, 6-4 match.

Despite the momentum started by Amadike and Moroder, the Vandals struggled on the remaining singles courts, allowing Montana to score 4 points to defeat the Vandals in a Saturday morning nail bitter.

UP NEXT: Idaho will return home to the P1FCU Kibbie Dome to open conference matches against Idaho State on March 14th at 12 p.m.
