MOSCOW, Idaho - After a week filled with the announcement of three new Vandals,
Alex Pribble and the Idaho men's basketball team continue to build their 2026-27 roster by inking dynamic junior transfer forward Diego Trejo-Delgado, who joins the Vandals after two standout seasons at DII Saint Martin's.
"Diego is a huge piece of the puzzle for us," Pribble stated following Trejo-Delgado's commitment. "He brings some real toughness and competitiveness to our team. He's versatile and can impact the game in a lot of ways. The Vandal community is going to love watching him!"
Trejo-Delgado, a Camargo, Mexico native, helped the Saints to a program record tying 26 wins and the 2025-26 GNAC regular season and tournament titles, while earning a first team all-conference honor after averaging 15.2 points on 49% shooting from the field and nearly seven boards, all marks that rank top 10 in the league. The efficient junior proved to also be a defensive threat, swatting a team-high 30 shots last season and posting four points-rebounds double-doubles and five or more boards in each of the Saints' last 15 contests. He earned NABC All-District and D2CCA All-Region Second Team nods for his season-long performance and a GNAC Player of the Week award in January following a 31-point, 11-rebound game against Western Washington. Trejo-Delgado's breakout sophomore campaign came after an impressive freshman one, where he scored 12.6 points and secured six rebounds a night, shooting 48.9%.
The Saint Martin's transfer is the second portal addition to join the Vandals this offseason, alongside 2024 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year and Idaho high school all-time scorer Kase Wynott.
