Carter, Robinson Signed to 2026 Vandal Football Roster

MOSCOW, Idaho - With spring ball in the books, Idaho Football head coach Thomas Ford Jr. and staff have gotten back on the recruiting trail, looking to add more weapons to a roster for the 2026 season that already has the coaches feeling good about the fall.

The first two reinforcements, Israel Carter and Da'Vaughn Robinson, have officially signed with the Vandals and will be headed to Moscow in time for summer workouts and fall camp.

ISRAEL CARTER - QB - CORONA, CA
A 6'1" signal caller originally from Corona, Calif., Israel Carter saw action under center in four games playing for Michael Vick's Norfolk State squad in 2025, completing 58% of his passes (19-33) for 127 yards and adding 40 yards on the ground. The rising redshirt junior spent his first two collegiate seasons at South Florida, where he played in seven total contests and threw for four touchdowns in 2024.

A three-star recruit and the #19 quarterback in the 2023 cycle (On3), Carter combined for over 2,400 all-purpose yards and 34 touchdowns as a senior, leading Centennial High School to the California state playoffs. He earned an invite to the 2022 U.S. Army All-America Bowl and ran for a TD in the game, also securing a bid to the Under Armour Next All-America Camp and receiving Quarterback MVP Honors. The Golden State native notably threw just two interceptions in his final three high school seasons.

Carter will add to a deep and experienced quarterback room that features the return of Joshua Wood and Jack Wagner, who each started games for the Vandals in 2025, as well as Sawyer Teeney, who earned snaps under center as a true freshman and will compete for more in 2026.

DA'VAUGHN ROBINSON - DL - MOORPARK COLLEGE
A 6'1", 250lb defensive lineman out of Avondale, Ariz., Da'Vaughn Robinson spent the 2025 season at Moorpark College in California, where he led the Raiders to a 5-2 record in conference play. He anchored a defense that led the Southern California Football Association in team sacks with 34, leading the team with seven of his own, which tied for third in the conference. A dynamic run-stopper, Robinson was also top-eight in the SCFA in 2025 with 14 TFLs for a loss of 79 yards and a forced fumble.

As a senior at La Joya Community High School, Robinson racked up 63 total tackles, including 12 for loss. His six sacks were top-three in 4A Southwest football, and he flashed as a versatile weapon on the offensive side of the ball as well, tallying nine carries for 31 yards and a touchdown alongside ten catches for 118 yards.

Robinson will add to a stacked defensive front with a lot of familiarity at the line of scrimmage, joining returners Titus Ringor, Mitchel Jaskowiak, Frederick Lujan III, and more to add to Lee Stalker's defense in 2026.
