MOSCOW, Idaho - Vandal Cross Country heads East to continue its 2026 season at the Montana Invite in Missoula this Friday, September 18. The women's 5K will commence at 5 P.M. PST, and the men's 8K is set to start at 5:30 P.M. PST.

Idaho will race against fellow Big Sky schools, including Montana, Eastern Washington, Montana State, and Idaho State, along with five other teams from the Treasure State. 

The juniors are showing out for the women this weekend, making up the majority of athletes racing. Jesse Redding and Alex Terry are coming off strong performances in Spokane earlier this month with their new 6K PRs, and senior Constanze Paoli is ready to make her debut following a very strong track season last year. Freshmen Micah Redding and Kadence Holso will also be making an appearance in Missoula for their second collegiate meet.

The men are coming off a third place meet in Spokane two weeks ago, with top Idaho finishers Miles Lechtenberg and Evan Jones competing again this weekend. Lechtenberg is a true freshman that dominated his first meet with an 8K time of 24:40.9, and is ready to keep that momentum going as the season continues. Apart from the younger competitors, seniors Zac Knapp and Tyler Graff will also be representing the Vandals this Friday.
