2014 Cross Country: Helbling finished fourteenth at the 2014 Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championships with a time of 24:43.3 in the 8k… Helbling also competed in the NCAA Division I West Region Cross Country Championships taking a 66th position in the 10k with a time of 30:46.7
2014 Outdoor: Helbling earned a First-Team All-WAC honor for his third-place performance in the 10,000m and a Second-Team All-WAC honor for his sixth-place finish in the 5000m at the Western Athletic Conference Championships…aided in the WAC Championship title…won the 5000m at the OSU High Performance Meet with a career-best time of 14:45.14…and ran a career-best time of 30:37.44 in the 10000m at the Mt.SAC Relays.
2014 Indoor: Helbling was a member of the 2014 Indoor Track and Field Western Athletic Conference Championship team…earned Second-Team All-WAC honors for his fifth-place finish in the 3000m…and ran a third-place time of 4:19.93 in the mile at the WSU Open II.
2013 Cross Country: Helbling was the second overall finisher at the WAC Championships with a time of 25:32.3 over the 8K course...placed 10th at the Sundodger Invitational over the 8K course in a time of 24:14.01 which is the third fastest in Idaho History...finished 12th at the Clash of the Inland Northwest with a time of 19:04 over the 6K course...took 17th at the Bronco Invite with a time of 24:18 over the 8K course...finished 34th at the Dellinger Invite with a time of 25:01 over the 8K course.
At BYU: Competed in four XC meets as a freshman in 2010 at BYU...finished 19th at the BYU Autumn Classic...ran an indoor 3000m time of 8:15.78
High School: Lake City High School… student athlete of 2010… was a 2009 and 2010 footlocker finalist… posted career-bests in the 1600m (4:20) and the 3200m (9:20)…was voted team captain.
Personal: Son of Art and Sely Helbling… has one brother; Seth Helbling…married to Nicole Helbling...daughter McKinley... majoring in computer engineering.
