2013 Outdoor: Lorentz earned Second-Team All-WAC honors for his sixth-place career-best finish in the long jump (24-1, 7.34m) at the WAC Outdoor Championships...placed second in the long jump at the Duane Hartman Invitational on Apr. 27 with leap of 21-10.24 (6.66m)...won at the Vandal Jamboree on May.4 in the event with a wind-aided jump of 23-7.75 (7.05m)
2013 Indoor: Lorentz won the long jump at the Idaho Collegiate I on Jan.19 with a mark of 22-7.25 (6.89m).
2012 Outdoor: Lorentz won four of his six long jump competitions in 2012 and set a new career best, but had bad luck at the WAC Outdoor Championships … tweaked his hamstring during long jump warm-ups at the WAC meet and was unable to compete … won the long jump at the WAR V dual meet on April 7 with a career-best 23-0 (7.01m) mark … also won the long jump at the Buc Scoring Invite on March 24 (21-11.5), the Mondo Mid-Major Challenge on April 13 (22-11) and the Vandal Jamboree on May 5 (22-4.25) … Spring WAC All-Academic honoree.
2012 Indoor: Lorentz won his first career conference title and First-Team All-WAC honor as a junior indoors … jumped from third to first place on his sixth and final attempt to win the men’s long jump crown at the WAC Indoor Championships with a mark of 22-9.75 (6.95m) … earned Second-Team All-WAC honors in the triple jump with a fifth-place finish and a career-best mark of 45-3.75 (13.81m) at the WAC meet … won his flight of the long jump with a career-best 23-0.5 (7.02m) at the Husky Classic on Feb. 11 … Winter WAC All-Academic.
2011 Outdoor: Lorentz competed in the long jump for Idaho as a sophomore … took seventh in the event at the WAC Championships with a leap of 21-10 (6.65m) … jumped a season-best 22-2.25 (6.76m) in a first-place finish at the Whitworth Buc Scoring Invitational on Mar. 26 … won the long jump at the Sam Adams Classic with a leap of 21-11 (6.68m) … WAC Spring All-Academic honoree.
2011 Indoor: Lorentz competed in the jumps for Idaho as a sophomore ... took eighth at the WAC Indoor Championships in the long jump with a leap of 21-5.5 (6.54m) ... jumped a season-best 21-11 (6.68m) at the UW Indoor Open on Feb. 13
2010 Indoor: Lorentz earned a pair of second-team all-WAC honors at the WAC Indoor Championships after taking sixth in both the long jump and triple jump. He went 22-3 (6.78m) in the long, then followed it up with a career-best 44-0.75 (13.43m) in the triple. The freshman set a career best of 22-3.75 (6.80m) in a second-place effort in the long jump at the Runner's Soul Open.
2010 Outdoor: Lorentz earned the third second-team all-WAC honor of his young career at the WAC Outdoor Championships after taking sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 45-6.25 (13.87m). He also hit 21-1.25 (6.43m) in the long jump and finished 10th and ran the second leg of Idaho's fourth-place 4x100m relay team. He set a career best of 22-7.25 (6.89m) in the long jump at the Whitworth Buc Invitational and 45-6.5 (13.88m) in the triple jump at the Sam Adams Classic.
High School: Lorentz won a pair of Idaho 2A state titles in 2009 for Grangeville High School. He went 21-5.5 at the state meet in the long jump to win the event by a one-foot margin, then ran a leg of the team's state-champion 4x400m relay that went 3:29.31. He also took third in the 400m with a time of 51.77 and helped the Bulldog boys tie for fourth at the meet. As a junior, Lorentz was the state runner-up in the long jump at 20-8.25 and took eighth in the triple jump at 39-8.5. He was named team MVP as a senior in both track and field and football and was named team captain in basketball, football and track and field.
Personal: He is the son of Brian and Tammy Lorentz. He has one sister, Nicole. He was a State Capital Scholar, a National Honor Society member and class Salutatorian for Grangeville. His intended major at Idaho is Civil Engineering.
