2015 Outdoor: Turpen set two career-best times on the season… At the Sasquatch Carnival 2015 Turpen ran a career-best time of 1:58.17 in the 800m, securing a ninth place finish… He also set a career-best in the 1500m with a time of 4:05.09 at the Border Clash 2015.
2015 Indoor: Turpen had two top-five finishes on the season… His best, individual place finish came at the Idaho Vandal Indoor Invitational with a fourth place finish and a career-best time in the Mile with a time of 4:26.99.
2014 Outdoor: Turpen finished sixth at the Cougar Invitational in the 1500m with a time of 4:22.71… and ran a season-best time of 4:09.85 at the WAR VII.
2014 Indoor: Turpen ran a season-best time of 4:33.38 in the mile at the Runners Soul Open…and hit a season-best mark in the 800m at the WSU Open II with a time of 2:01.59… and placed sixth at the Cougar Indoor with a time of 4:39.30.
2013 Outdoor: Finished sixth in the 1500m (4:14.79) at the Idaho Vandal Jamboree ... set a new career-best time in the 1500m at the Duane Hartman Invitational ... he finished seventh with a time of 4:05.68.
2013 Indoor: Opened the season with an eighth-place finish (4:30.99) in the mile at the WSU Cougar Indoor ... also ran the 800m (12th, 2:04.33) ... ran a career best 800m time of 2:00.24 at the Idaho Vandal Collegiate ... placed 15th ... at the UW Indoor Open he set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:29.93.
2012 Cross Country: Ran in six races for the Vandals ... finished 51st at the WAC Championships ... ran the 8K course at Louisiana Tech in 27:00.6 ... ran in the NCAA West Region Qualifier.
2012 Outdoor: Turpen competed in the distance events for Idaho as a true freshman … finished 10th and posted a career-best time of 4:11.45 in the 1500m at the Buc Scoring Invitational on March 24 … took seventh in the 1500m at the Duane Hartman Invitational on April 28 with a time of 4:12.67 … ran a career-best 2:01.51 in a fifth-place finish in the 800m at the Vandal Jamboree on May 5 … finished 29th in the 1500m at the Sam Adams Classic on March 31 with a time of 4:13.67 … Spring WAC All-Academic honoree.
2012 Indoor: Turpen competed in the distance events for Idaho as a freshman … ran a career-best 4:33.15 in the mile run at the Idaho Indoor Open on Feb. 4, where he finished 23rd … took 11th in his first career race with a mile time of 4:38.64 at the Cougar Indoor on Jan. 28 … finished 17th in the mile run at the Vandal Collegiate on Feb. 18 with a time of 4:36.59 … Winter WAC All-Academic.
2011 Cross Country: Turpen posted his best finish of the season after taking 49th at the Sundodger Invitational with a time of 26:39.16 … finished 62nd at the Inland Northwest Cross Country Classic with a time of 20:32.
High School: Turpen was a four-year varsity performer in cross country and track and field at Richland High School … he was a Second-Team All-Big 9 honoree on the track and was also voted team captain … posted career bests of 51.0 in the 400m, 1:59.32 in the 800m, 4:21.45 in the 1600m and 10:14.00 in the 3200m.
Personal: He is the son of Greg and Sharon Turpin … has one sister, Sierra … he was a four-year honor student at Richland High School … intends to major in Human Resource Management.
