MOSCOW ? The University of Idaho men's tennis team trashed Bethany in its first home game of the season.
The Vandals moved to 11-6 on the season with a 7-0 victory over the Kansas school.
“Bethany is a nationally ranked NAIA that was in the area to play LCSC, so it was great to pick them up on the schedule as a home match,” University of Idaho director of tenis Jeff Beaman said. “Taylor Bieberle saw his first action in a college dual match and picked up wins in singles and doubles.”
In singles, Idaho did not drop a set as Stanislav Glukhov, Alex Joitoiu, Alan Shin, Timothy Huynh, Hugh McDonald and Bieberle all won.
The Vandals were just as successful in doubles as Joitoiu/McDonald won 8-1 at the No. 1 spot, Artem Kuznetsov/Glukhov won 8-2 at the No. 2 spot and Huyhn/Bieberle notching a win at the No. 3 spot.
Idaho is back in action Saturday with a doubleheader against Portland and Portland St. in Portland.
