Bobby Cowan, the University of Idaho's punter for the past four seasons, has been chosen to play in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
A native of Vancouver, Wash., Cowan set the standard for the Vandals and is one of the talented draft-eligible seniors
competing in the all-star game on Saturday, January 19, at The Home Depot Center
on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills at Carson, Calif. Kickoff
is 3 p.m. PT, and the game will be televised live on ESPN2. ESPNU
will also air live broadcasts from practices on Thursday, January 17.
Cowan was a four-year starter for the Vandals. He has started every game at
punter after redshirting in 2008. During his senior season, he solidified
himself as Idaho's all-time leading punter averaging 43.1 yards on 70 punts.
Cowan ended his Idaho
career being the punting average
record holder (44.7) as well as the record holder for total punts (259) and
punting yards (11,570).

Pro-football
players and coaching legends will work with the game's future stars, giving
them first-hand insight on what it takes to win on and off of the field. Herm
Edwards and Dick Vermeil will serve as the head coaches for the
American and National Teams. Player Ambassadors for the game include former NFL
players Terrell Davis, Hank Baskett, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Lorenzo
Neal and Andre Reed.
