PHEONIX—Idaho men's tennis snapped its two match losing streak with a 4-2 win at Grand Canyon on Wednesday. Idaho improves to 8-4 on the season and 2-2 on the current seven match road-trip.

The Vandals got behind the eight ball, dropping the doubles point for the second straight match. The Lopes put together a pair of 6-2 wins at No. 3 and No. 3 to take the early 1-0 lead.

Guilherme Scarpelli got Idaho's point of the day. He put together a 6-2, 7-6 win over Gregorie Balenci at No. 6. Esteban Santibanez fought from a set down to take the No. 4 court in three sets. GCU tied the match 2-2 with a straight set win at No. 5

The top two courts came through in the clutch for the Idaho. Mark Kovacs delivered a hard fought 7-6 (1), 7-6(3) win at No. 1. Felipe Fonseca clinched the win for Idaho at No. 2. He got down early, 7-6, to Adrian Legarreta. The junior lost just one game the rest of the way, recording sets of 6-1 and 6-0 to close the day.

Idaho remains out on the road on Thursday. The Vandals will get back into Big Sky action traveling north to Northern Arizona. The team will take on Weber State and Utah State before heading back home.
