CHENEY, Wash.—The Idaho women's tennis team remained undefeated in Big Sky play on Wednesday with a 6-1 win at Eastern Washington. Idaho moves to 8-5 on the season, going 4-for-4 in conference play.
Sophomore
Marianna Petrei continued to tear through the Big Sky competition. She picked up a 6-2, 6-0 won, her seventh straight win at No. 1. She has now won 14 consecutive Big Sky matches, all from the No. 1 position.
Maria Tavares picked up her fourth conference win of the season. She went three sets with Rachel Swindell, picking up the 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 decision.
Ana Batiri improved to 3-0 in the Big Sky. She went 6-1, 6-2 over Carolina Lopez.
Idaho began the evening securing the doubles point. Tavares and Batiri played to a 6-2 win at No.2.
Jessica Brzozowska and
Clair Yang added a 6-1 win in No. 3 play to close out the point.
The Vandals will next host Seattle U on March 25.
