David Nuhn said a practice session after Friday's opening round and a focused warmup Saturday made the difference in the Vandals' scoring from day one to day two.
"Overall, we played a lot better today," said Nuhn of his team, which is sixth but was 24 strokes better Saturday with a 302. "We were able to work on and fix some things yesterday. It really showed today."
He was especially pleased with Marin's ability to shake off an opening-round 83 to come back with the one-under 71.
"I'm really proud of Enrique," Nuhn said.
