Imanaka Takes Second on Three-Meter

Nikki Imanaka finished second on the first day of the Lumberjack Invite

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Idaho senior Nikki Imanaka led the Vandals and all Western Athletic Conference divers with a second-place finish on the three-meter springboard Friday, on the first day of the Lumberjack Diving Invite. 

All three Vandal divers qualified for finals. Imanaka was third after prelims, but jumped ahead of Northern Arizona's Christina Torrente in the finals. The Vandal senior and reigning WAC Diver of the Week posted a two-round score of 568.30.

Fellow senior Janelle Lucas took fifth with a two-round score of 523.00. Junior Heather Carbon finished 10th with a combined score of 475.00.

The meet continues Saturday, with the one-meter competition before concluding Sunday, on platform.
