FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Janelle Lucas led Idaho's divers with a second-place finish on the platform Sunday, on the final day of the Lumberjack Diving Invite.
Nikki Imanaka took seventh and
Heather Carbon placed 13th. It was the first time the Vandals competed platform this season.
Lucas posted a 234.15 in the one-round event, outscoring her nearest Western Athletic Conference opponent by nearly 37 points. The Idaho senior is the three-time defending WAC champion on platform.
All three Idaho divers advanced to the finals in each springboard event earlier in the meet. Imanaka led the way both days, taking second on three-meter Friday, and fifth on one-meter Saturday.
Lucas took fifth on three-meter and seventh on one-meter. Carbon finished eighth on three-meter and placed 12th in the one-meter event.
Arizona's Delaney Schnell was the champion on all three boards. Schnell qualified for the 2018 NCAA Championships on one-meter and platform, earning All-America status on the low springboard. She was also a finalist on platform at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Idaho will be back in action Nov. 30-Dec. 2, at the Husky Invitational hosted by Washington.
