BOULDER CITY, Nev.- Idaho men's golf junior Enrique Marin was named to the All-Big Sky Conference First Team Wednesday, as the league announced its annual awards on the eve of the Big Sky Championships. Marin, a second-team choice in 2017, tied for the conference lead with four Big Sky Golfer of the Week awards this season.
 
A native of Sotogrande, Spain, Marin was Idaho's top competitor all season. Through the regular season he has posted the team's lowest score in 26 of 30 rounds played and claimed six top-25 finishes. Marin's play was marked by consistency throughout the year, carding 14 rounds at or under par and recording a season scoring average of 72.6
 
The All-Big Sky teams and awards were selected following the conclusion of the regular season, using a points system based on the Golfstat National Ranking, the Golfweek National Ranking and the adjusted score-to-par provided by Golfstat.
 
The 2018 Big Sky Championships will take place Friday through Sunday, at Boulder Creek Golf Club near Las Vegas. The Vandals are eyeing their third conference title in four years.
