MOSCOW, Idaho—Former Idaho women's basketball standout
Karlee Wilson will be returning to Moscow in a new role. She was named head varsity women's basketball coach at Moscow High School on Tuesday. Wilson spent four years at from 2013-2017.

Jon Newlee exclaimed. "She played here at Idaho with so much passion, heart and desire—all qualities I know she will instill in her players."
Wilson started 78 games in her four-year career for the Vandals. The point guard from Lewiston, Idaho closed her time at Idaho eighth in program history with 362 career assists. She averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 24.9 minutes per game. Her .791 free throw percentage also ranks eighth all-time in Idaho history.
Wilson played in every game outside of two following her freshman year. Her rookie season was cut short in 2013 when she suffered a season-ending knee injury in Idaho's final non-conference game at Texas.
"Her basketball IQ is off the charts," Newlee added. "She is the most knowledgeable point guard I was lucky enough to coach. She has won championships at all levels as a player and I am looking forward to watching her win championships now as a coach at Moscow High."
Wilson and the Vandals won the Western Athletic Conference regular season and conference titles in 2014. She returned to the lineup her sophomore year in 2014, assuming the starting role down the closing stretch. Wilson started every game as a junior, helping the Vandals to a Big Sky Championship and a third NCAA Tournament in the span of four seasons.
