RESULTS
SEATTLE, Wash. – Idaho track and field made the trip out to Seattle for the UW Invitational, with the Vandals performing well at their most competitive meet of the season thus far.
Henrike Fiedler and
Rechelle Meade finished second and third, respectively, in the long jump. Fiedler leapt 5.84 meters (19-2.00), while Meade had a season-best performance of 5.80 meters (19-0.50).
Karina Moreland took over in the triple jump, improving her position in the conference rankings and finishing fifth with a leap of 11.69 meters (38-4.25).
Zachary Nunis took second in the long jump with a leap of 7.23 meters (23-8.75). The jump move Nunis into the top-five in the Big Sky in the event.
Cullen Williams threw a personal best of 18.22 meters (59-9.50) in the weight throw to place second.
Zachary Short finished third overall among a loaded field in the shot put invitational with his throw of 18.62 meters (61-1.25).
Kaizer Gillispie placed fourth in the 400-meters with a time of 48.20 seconds, moving into the top-three in the conference in the event.
Hannah Ringel took fourth in the shot put at 13.74 meters (45-1.00).
FRIDAY
Ben Doucette continued his impressive 2019 season by winning the 60-meter hurdles yet again. He equaled his personal best time of 7.87 seconds in the final, after running 7.96 seconds in the prelims to lead the way.
