MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho volleyball team fell, 3-0, to Montana State on Saturday afternoon.
Â
Kyra Palmbush led the Vandals (12-14, 8-6 BSC) with eight kills, while Nicole Ball had six.
Â
The first set was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team able to grab control. However, with the Bobcats (12-11, 8-6 BSC) up 19-17, went on a 5-0 run to take the momentum and eventually win the set, 25-19.
Â
Montana State would keep the momentum in set two, jumping out to a 6-1 lead. The visitors would cruise to a 25-12 set victory.
Â
The Vandals would not go quietly in set three, leading 7-2 early. However, with Idaho holding a two point lead, 16-14, the Bobcats would take advantage of some Vandal miscues to tie up the game, and eventually take a 19-18 lead. With the score tied, 22-22, MSU rattled off three straight to take the set and sweep the match.
Â
Idaho will look to get back on track on Tuesday, November 12, when the team hosts Eastern Washington at 6 p.m.
