OGDEN, Utah— Senior Marianna Petrei has been named Big Sky Player of the Week, as announced Wednesday by the conference office.
 
Petrei went undefeated playing No. 1 singles over the weekend where the Vandals faced Idaho State, Weber State and Utah State. The senior, who teamed up with Maria Tavares, posted a perfect weekend in doubles action on court one despite Idaho dropping the double point against the Weber State and Utah State.
 
Petrei is now 4-3 on the season and 4-2 in doubles action with Tavares.
 
With the helped of Petrei and her undefeated weekend, Idaho moved into first place in the Big Sky standing, 3-0, after posting two conference wins against Idaho State and Weber State.
 
Idaho looks to continue its four-match winning streak when they host Northern Colorado on Sunday, Feb 24.
