Box Score LEWISTON, Idaho—Idaho men's tennis (4-2) swept Whitman College 7-0 on Monday afternoon.
Esteban Santibanez and
Francisco Bascon opened the match their fourth doubles win of the season in the No. 1 spot over Ben Kirsh and Daniel Foster, 6-2.
In the No. 3 doubles spot
Guilherme Scarpelli and
Vivek Ramesh defeated Kai Strawn and John Carter 6-0, to clinch the doubles point.
Bruno Casino and
Althaf Dhaifullah finished their doubles match in the No. 2 spot against Raijul Chikkalingaiah and Andreas Mueller-Immergluck with a 7-6 win.
In singles play the Vandals claimed six victories.
Francisco Bascon topped Ben Kirsh for the first singles point in the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 6-2.
Althaf Dhaifullah followed up Bascon's win with one of his own, 6-0, 6-2, over Dan Foster in the No. 2 spot.
Bruno Casino clinched the match point with a 6-3, 6-1, win over Rajul Chikkalingaiah in the No. 4 spot.
Ahead 4-0 after the completion of the three singles matches, the Vandals continued the remaining three matches.
Esteban Santibanez topped Andreas Mueller-Immergluck 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 3 singles match for the Vandals' fifth point.
Vivek Ramesh added another win, 6-3, 6-0, over Tom Chang in the No. 6 spot.
Guilherme Scarpelli closed out the match with another singles win, 7-5, 6-1, over Matthew Biggi in the No. 5 match.

The Vandals are now 4-2 on the season and have won three consecutive matches. Idaho will travel to Spokane, Washington next weekend to take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs Sat. Feb. 22
