MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Men's Tennis team will hit the road this weekend to face Gonzaga University in Spokane, Saturday at 4 p.m.
Idaho enters the contest on the on the heels of three consecutive wins and is 4-2 overall this season. The Vandals defeated LCSC 6-1 two weeks ago before topping George Fox, 5-0, and Whitman College, 7-0, in consecutive matches this past weekend.
The Bulldogs enter the contest 6-2 overall on the season and have won their last four matches in a row. Gonzaga has not played a match since Feb. 9
th when they topped Boise State, 4-3. In addition to hosting the Vandals, Gonzaga will take on Seattle at 10 a.m. Saturday prior to taking on Idaho at 4 p.m.
For the Vandals,
Francisco Bascon leads the way so far. Bascon has played in the number one singles spot five times this season and in the number one doubles spot during all six matches. Bascon and
Althaf Dhaifullah are both 4-2 overall on the season and lead the Vandals with four singles win each. Dhaifullah has spent majority of the season in the number two spot but appeared in the number one spot last week against George Fox, winning 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 over Will Leach.

Esteban Santibanez have played in the number one doubles spot during all five matches this season and are 5-1. The duo's only loss of the season came against Portland and have won three consecutive matches since then.
