Men’s Golf Slips on Day Two

RESULTS 

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif.
– Tough weather conditions took a toll on Idaho men's golf on Tuesday as the Vandals slipped to 11th at the Joust at Goose Creek.
 
Omaha took the team title at 30-over.  The Mavericks' Witchayapat Sinsrang was the only golfer to shoot under par for the tournament, and finished at 2-under.
 
Joseph Glenn led the way for the Vandals in a tie for sixth at 5-over.  He had a rough third round, shooting a 9-over 79 on the final day, but did well to finish in the top-10 overall.
 
Jack Plaster slipped to a tie for 47th at 19-over after a 15-over 85 in the third round.  Plaster had began the tournament with back-to-back rounds at 72.
 
Joel Veenstra was next for the Vandals in a tie for 66th at 24-over.  His third round score of 83 was the third best for the Vandals on Tuesday.  Colt Sherrell was the final counter for the Vandals.  He closed with a  12-over 82 to finish the tournament in a tie for 70th at 27-over.
 
The Vandals will next host the Brandon Dunes Championship at Pacific Dunes Course in Brandon, Ore., March 8-10.
