THE INSIDE TRACK
MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Track and Field program is excited to announce the signing of Annika Jozin of Michipicoten High School in Wawa, Ontario, Canada and Laurel Creek Track Club.
Annika is a Two-Time OFSAA Champion in the high jump, which encompasses all competitors in the large province of Ontario in Canada. She has a personal best of 1.71m (5' 7 1/4") in the high jump. Annika has placed high at many other high-level track and field competitions throughout her career in the high jump including a first place showing at the International Meet of Champions in 2018 and a second place showing at the Royal Canadian Legion Nationals. She also ran a leg on a 4x400m relay team that placed first at the Royal Canadian Legion National meet. She also qualified for the Canadian Track and Field Championships and the New Balance Indoor National Championships in 2020.
Annika has been recognized by her school in several awards including the Most Valuable Track and Field athlete and the Female Athlete of the Year, as well as in other sports as the Most Promising Badminton Player and Freshman Basketball Player award.
A fantastic student, Annika has also earned a significant number of academic awards ranging in the subjects of math, history, chemistry, biology, and music.
