RESULTS
ST. GEORGE, Utah – Idaho concluded the swimming portion of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday and are currently sitting in sixth heading into the Diving portion of the meet, scheduled for next week.

The Vandals finished the swimming championships with 335 points but are close behind Cal Baptist in fifth. Northern Arizona leads the way with 572.5 points, but New Mexico State is right there in second with 564 points. Competition at the WAC Championships concludes next week in Arizona with the Diving Championships.

Ryanne Bartolome picked up a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. She entered the final ranked sixth, but improved on her prelim time to finish in 2:01.81.
Ani Husaby,
Morgan Votava and
Kaling Phung also scored in the event. Husaby took 10
th overall with a time of 2:03.17 in the B Final, Votava was 13
th in 2:04.71 and Phung was 15
th in 2:05.34.

Katie Hale, competing in her final WAC Championships meet, placed fourth in the 100-yard free after finishing in 50.92 seconds in the final. Teammate
Rylie Jones improved her standing in the event, from the prelims to the finals, jumping three spots to finish ninth overall in 51.51 seconds.

Holly Keir earned a big fourth place finish for the Vandals in the 200-yard breaststroke. She took eighth in the prelims but swam a personal-best time of 2:18.79 in the finals to take fourth.

Bindi Pedersen, Husaby and Keir all scored in the B Final of the 200-yard fly. Pedersen was fourth in 2:09.33, earning 12
th overall, while Husaby was close behind in fifth in 2:09.75. Keir came in in 2:13.59 to finish seventh in the heat, 15
th overall.

Zoe Froh earned a seventh-place finish in the 1650-free with a time of 17:26.94.
Alexa Teneyck placed 10
th overall in 17:38.24.

The 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Jones, Hale,
Natalie Crocker and Phung placed sixth in 3:28.07.

The Diving portion of the WAC Championships begins Feb. 25 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
