FULL SCHEDULE
MOSCOW, Idaho – Following a short offseason after the conclusion of an unprecedented Spring 2021 season, the Idaho women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the fall of 2021.
"We are excited about this year's schedule. I feel we have a great balance of games that will prepare us well for conference play," said Coach Clevenger.
Last season the Vandals earned the No. 2 seed in Northwest Division for the Big Sky Championship after finishing the conference slate of games 5-3. Overall, Idaho was 5-6, falling to Northern Arizona in the semifinal, 1-0. Four members of the team earned all-conference accolades, including returners
Taylor Brust, who was on the Second Team, and
Margo Schoesler, who earned Honorable Mention as a freshman. Coach Clevenger was also named the Coach of the Year for the Big Sky.
The Vandals will open the season with a pair of exhibition games, first traveling to Seattle University on August 10 before hosting Washington State on August 13 in the Kibbie Dome.
The regular season begins on the road when Idaho will play North Dakota State and University of North Dakota on August 20 and 22, respectively. The team will also play Oregon State (August 27) and Nevada (September 12) in road nonconference games.
The Vandals will host four nonconference matches in the Dome. On September 3, CSU Bakersfield will come to Moscow, and Hawaii will make the trek on September 8. As a final tune-up before conference play begins, Idaho will welcome Cal Baptist (September 17) and St. Thomas (September 19).
Big Sky Conference play will begin on September 24, with Idaho traveling to Weber State, before the Vandals play at Idaho State September 26.
The first home conference matches will be October 1 and October 3 against Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. After traveling to Sacramento State (October 8) and Portland State (October 10), the Vandals will return to Moscow for the final home games of the year. Idaho will play Montana on October 15, before they meet Northern Colorado on October 17.
The regular season will wrap up with a game on the road at Eastern Washington on October 24.
The Big Sky Championships will be November 3-7 in Greeley, Colorado. Â
