SAN DIEGO – Francisco Bascon and Matteo Masala ended their run at the ITA National Fall Championships on Friday in San Diego. 
 
The doubles pairing posted a 1-2 record, falling out of the tournament in the consolation quarterfinals to Louisiana State's Stefan Latinovic and Nick Watson 6-4, 6-7 (7-2), [7-10].
 
Bascon and Masala opened match play on Wednesday against Nicolas Acevedo and Filip Krolo of Florida Atlantic. Acevedo and Krolo defeated the Idaho duo 6-4, 6-4.

In the consolation round of 16, Bascon and Masala earned a straight-set win over Oklahoma's Nathan Han and Jordan Hasson 6-4, 6-3.  

Idaho wraps up fall play at the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Wash. this weekend, Nov. 4-6.
