MOSCOW, Idaho – The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. A program high of six Vandals earned the distinction of All-District.
Seniors,
Maya Hamilton,
Margo Schoesler, and
Jayd Sprague top the list for Idaho joined by juniors,
Rebekah Reyes and
Annika Farley as well as sophomore,
Kira Witte.
To be eligible for the distinction, the athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. From an academic standpoint, the athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher. As for the athletic portion, the athlete must have competed in 90% of the season or started 66% of the games.
Hamilton, Schoesler, and Sprague started every match they played in for the Vandals this season. Hamilton is earning her degree in Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences, Pre-PT. Sprague is working her way towards a degree in Psychology while Schoesler is studying Medical Sciences.
Reyes and Farley are also on the starting lineup for the Vandals and played in every game this past season. Academically, Reyes is a senior finishing up her double majors in Criminology and Sociology. Farley is pursuing Medical Sciences.
Witte rounds out the selections having success studying Medical Sciences and played every minute of the season in goal.
