SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The Vandal Cross Country teams wrapped up the Bill Dellinger Invitational this morning at the Pine Ridge Golf Club in Springfield, Oregon with a fourth place finish from the men and tenth for the women. The field of 17 teams featured 16 D-1 squads, five of which belong to Power 5 conferences.

For the Vandal men,
Lorenz Herrmann took the lead in his first meet of the 2023 season to help the squad earn fourth in the 8K. The senior crossed the tape 13th out of the field of 136 racers. His 24:10.2 mark was just over five seconds shy of his personal best.
Sam Fulbright recorded another 8K PR with a time of 24:26.3, seven seconds faster than his previous best from his mark last week at the Cougar Classic Invitational. The senior finished 31st.
Shea Mattson took 36th (24:29.0) and
Tim Stevens came in 49th with a time of 24:45.3.
Katja Pattis nabbed a spot at 10th in her first meet of the year as she finished the women's 6K in 20:32.9 to help the Vandal women take 10th.
Leah Holmgren finished 47th at a 21:24.2 mark and
McKenna Kozeluh in 72nd (21:54.7).
The Vandal harriers are off until October 14th when they make the short trip to Lewiston, Idaho for the Lewis-Clark State Invite.
