FARMINGTON, Utah - Idaho's Rachelle Starreveld was named Big Sky Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week following her match-clinching performance against Eastern Washington.

Starreveld, a senior from the Netherlands, delivered a perfect 2-0 record to nab her first career Big Sky weekly honor.

Starreveld and partner Lena Beckx opened doubles action at Eastern Washington this past Saturday with a 6-3 victory on court three helping the Vandals take a 1-0 lead. The duo's nine victories ranks third-most in the Big Sky. 

As the Eagles battled back to a 3-3 tie, Starreveld played hero for Idaho with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win securing the match for the Vandals. 

Idaho's win against Eastern Washington improves their record to 8-5, marking their highest number of wins in a dual season since 2018-19.
