MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho women's tennis team brought home a series of strong performances from their weekend at the Gonzaga Invitational.
The Vandals opened play on Friday with five singles victories, four of which came in straight sets. Leading the charge was 
Hanna Koprowska, who dominated her match with strong set scores of 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles play, the dynamic duo of 
Jessica Matthews and 
Naomi Schraeder started the weekend on a high note, edging Washington State 7-6. Another successful pairing, 
Ida Johansson and Koprowska, rolled past Eastern Washington with an 6-1 win.
On Saturday, 
Chenyue Xu played to a flawless 6-0 singles victory over Oregon, while 
Soha Singh teamed up with Marta Giglio of Portland State for a cross-team doubles matchup, defeating Montana 6-1.
Sunday capped off the weekend's action, with Xu advancing to the final day of competition. She battled through a tight matchup against Montana, 5-6-[12], 7-4-[14].
