Vandals to Return to Big Sky Tournament to Face Wildcats in Round 1

MOSCOW, Idaho - After just missing the postseason last year, Idaho men's tennis is back in the Big Sky Tournament.

Since the turn of the decade, the championships have been where the Vandals have lived, claiming berths to the conference bracket each year in 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as the 15th and 16th conference titles in school history in that span.

Last year, they narrowly missed out on the tournament due to a loss to Northern Arizona, but have made their case and will compete as the #4 seed in this year's slate.

Under second-year head coach Raleigh Grossbaum, Idaho has amassed a 5-3 record in Big Sky play, and will face off against a familiar opponent, Weber State, in the first round of the conference tournament.

In early April, the Vandals cruised to a 5-2 win over the Wildcats in one of the final home matches of the season in Lewiston. Idaho swept the doubles matches and won four of the six singles contests to clinch the series.

Overall, Weber State holds a 9-11 record, emulating Idaho with a 5-3 record in conference play. They will be carrying the momentum of a two-match win streak into Thursday's action, taking down Eastern Washington, 6-1, and Portland State, 4-3, to end the regular season.

Live Stats and broadcast schedules will be released as they become available.
