MOSCOW, Idaho - Boram Jung and Chetanna Amadike have been selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for April by Vandal Academic Services, supported by P1FCU.
Jung, a native of Thailand, just completed her redshirt junior season for the Vandal women's golf team. Off the pitch, she has demonstrated impressive commitment to her studies as an Economics and Marketing major. This semester alone, Jung has been taking 21 credits (equivalent to seven full-time courses) and maintains a 3.85 GPA.
"Boram is a highly ambitious and dedicated student who consistently stives for academic excellence," Academic Coordinator Stacey Hyde said. "Throughout her time at Idaho, she has demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to her studies. It has been such a pleasure to work with her."
Amadike, a Canada native, wrapped up his junior season with the Vandals' men's tennis squad, where he led the team to a win in the Big Sky tournament over Weber State in the first round. Outside of his sport, Amadike has put in the work to pursue his degree in computer science, and still makes time to engage with the local community.
"Chenny is a dedicated student-athlete pursuing a challenging major, and he has shown perseverance in achieving academic success," said Hyde. "As a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, he demonstrates leadership and a commitment to both his sport and academics. I look forward to seeing what his future holds!"
