MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Men's Tennis team split its day on Saturday in the City of Trees against Linfield and Boise State.
Still having to stay resilient through injuries and illness, the Vandals went headfirst into battle against strong Northwest and Mountain West competition.
Idaho took on Linfield for its first match of the day, taking down the Wildcats 7-0 for a clean Saturday sweep.
Moving into the matchup against Boise State, the Vandals met a similar fate to that of the night prior, but
Chetanna Amadike refused to experience the same result.
The kid from Calgary fought with tenacity against Boise State's Stewart Aronson. The two danced back and forth, exchanging blows, forcing the match into a third set. In the end, Amadike came out on top with a final of 6-7 (3-7), 7-5, 0-1 (7-10).
After the long weekend, Idaho sits at 3-7 in the young season, having tested its mettle against some of the top talent in college tennis.
