Idaho Takes on Bobcats and the Warriors to Kick-off Conference Play

MOSCOW, Idaho— The Idaho Women's Tennis team will return home this weekend to kickoff conference play on Friday, February 20th against Montana State and will travel to Lewiston on Saturday February 21st to play Lewis-Clark State.
 
ABOUT IDAHO
The Idaho Vandals women's tennis team enters the season with a 3-6 record from a productive but challenging preseason. In doubles, juniors Jessica Matthews and Naomi Schraeder have stood out, putting together impressive performances and emerging as a reliable pairing for the Vandals. Coming off a 6-1 win over South Dakota, the Vandals will carry confidence into this year's conference campaign including the upcoming matchups against the Bobcats and Warriors.   
                
ABOUT MONTANA STATE
Montana State entered the matchup with a 3-3 record after falling 6-1 to Santa Clara to close its first month of preseason play. The Bobcats competed closely across the lineup, dropping tight doubles point and pushing multiple singles matches to three sets. Angel Bean has been a bright spot, earning Montana State's lone point against Santa Clara. New Head Coach Hailey in her seven months with the Bobcats has emphasized the team's fight and growth as they prepare for Big Sky Conference play. Idaho and Montana State will face off on Friday at 10 a.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.  
 
ABOUT LEWIS-CLARK STATE
Lewis-Clark State earned its fourth win of the season in dominant fashion, sweeping Whitman 6-1 while battling through several competitive sets. The Warriors secured the doubles point behind strong performances from newcomers Rylie Gettman and Lulu Monnayoo, as well as Naiara Montero and Rayana Shah. Idaho will match up against the Warriors at 3 p.m. on Saturday on the Lewiston courts.  
 
The Vandals continue to represent Idaho with pride, toughness and a competitive edge, carrying the program's tradition of hard work and resilience into every match this season.
