MOSCOW, Idaho– The Idaho Vandals wrapped up their regular season with a hard-fought 1-6 loss to Eastern Washington University.

The Vandals started Saturday's match against the Eagles by winning the doubles point. Valentina Rodas and Chenyue Xu took a 6-2 victory, and Soha Sighn and Naomi Schraeder earned a 6-4 win on court three.

Moving into singles play, Idaho was ready to continue the competition, but came up short in the end. The Eagles defeated the Vandals 1-6.

With the regular season behind them, the Vandals are now well-positioned to shift their focus toward the Big Sky Conference Women's Tennis Championships, scheduled for April 22–26. This short turnaround offers a critical window for regrouping, emphasizing consistency in doubles points and tightening execution in singles lineups. Maintaining confidence drawn from earlier signature wins while addressing late-season challenges will be essential for postseason performance.
