MOSCOW, Idaho - On Thursday, the Big Sky Conference announced the 2026 and 2027 conference seasons for soccer.

The new-look league has expanded from nine teams to ten following the departure of Sacramento State and the addition of Utah Tech and Southern Utah, the latter institution returning to the Big Sky after a four-season stint in the WAC.

The expansion to ten teams adds a ninth conference contest to the schedule for all league teams. Idaho is coming off of a fifth-place finish at the end of the regular season last year with a 2-2-4 Big Sky record. The Vandals knocked off Portland State in the early portion of the postseason bracket and took eventual conference champion Montana to PKs in Missoula.
