MOSCOW, Idaho - Thomas Ford Jr. and his staff have hit the recruiting trail hard, searching for additions to fortify the 2026 roster and set Idaho Football up for a big-time campaign in the fall. After the first two pieces of the puzzle fell into place on Wednesday, the next member of the Vandals' locker room has signed on, as Daemon Fagan will be headed to Moscow in time for summer training and fall camp.
DAEMON FAGAN - DB - NC STATE
A 6'3" safety out of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Fagan spent his first two collegiate seasons at NC State of the ACC, where he redshirted his first year and appeared in one game in 2025, recording a tackle in a win over Campbell.
Prior to his time in Raleigh, Fagan played at American Heritage High School in Florida, starring in the secondary for the Patriots for three seasons. As a senior, he was a leader on a defense that gave up 14 points or fewer in eight of fifteen games, racking up 78 tackles, three interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. He carved out a role during his sophomore and junior years as well, combining for 40 tackles and six INTs in that span and helping American Heritage win the 5A state championship as a sophomore.
A consensus four-star prospect, Fagan was ranked as high as the #13 safety in the country and the #38 player in the state of Florida. On3 had him ranked at #24 and #58, respectively, in those same listings. His versatility at the safety spot will provide immediate impact for Lee Stalker's defense, a unit that thrives on giving opponents multiple looks and not letting offenses get comfortable.
