MOSCOW, Idaho - Listed below are updates on the road closures around the University of Idaho's campus, as well as recommendations for Vandal fans to navigate them during the 2026-27 year.
PERIMETER DRIVE CLOSURE
Beginning Monday, August 31, the University of Idaho's west campus entrance at Perimeter Drive and State Highway 8 will close to all traffic to accommodate construction activities to replace the bridge. The full closure is expected to last until May 2027.
We encourage fans entering campus via State Highway 8 to enter via Stadium Drive or Line Street. University entrances on the east and south sides of campus should not be impacted on game days due to construction. In addition to making alternate route plans, we encourage fans to allow for extra time arriving and departing campus this Fall.
STADIUM DRIVE & LOT 24 (VSF 3 LOT) UPDATES
Construction along Stadium Drive, from the roundabout at Idaho Ave to the Hartung Theatre, will incorporate new sidewalks, compliant ADA parking spaces, and reconstruct the traffic island. Anticipated construction completion is September 11, prior to Vandal Football's first home game against Lamar.
SIXTH STREET REPAIRS
Sections of Sixth Street, from Deakin Avenue to Perimeter Drive, will undergo repairs in mid-September. Duration of the project is anticipated to last two weeks, whereas the actual closure with full detours will be in short one- to two-day spurts. Sixth Street will not be under construction until after Stadium Drive is re-opened.
NEZ PERCE DRIVE
Ongoing projects on Nez Perce Drive have occurred since April 13 as part of a State of Idaho Permanent Building Fund alteration and repair project. Construction has been occurring in phases with expected completion before the first Vandal Football game on September 12.
