2010 Indoor: Carpenter turned in a runner-up performance in the heptathlon and a tied for third place in the men's pole vault at the 2010 WAC Indoor Championships. He scored a personal-best 5,141 in the heptathlon and cleared 16-2 in the vault. He earned first-team all-WAC honors in both events. He also earned a second-team all-WAC accolade after running a leg of Idaho's third-place 4x400m relay team. He cleared 16-8.75 (5.10m) in the pole vault and tied a career best with a 6.95 in the 60m dash.
2010 Outdoor: Carpenter redshirted the 2010 outdoor season.
2008: Carpenter had a specatacular sophomore season at Idaho ... He became the school's all-time leader in the pole vault during the outdoor season when he cleared 5.21m (17-1) at the Vandal Jamboree ... He is the only vaulter in school history to clear the 17-foot barrier ... A great all-around athlete, he competed in his first career heptathlon at the WAC Indoor Championships and scored 5,109 points to take third and earn first-team all-WAC honors ... He earned a second first-team honor at the meet with a third-place finish in the pole vault ... He had a solid day at the Mt. SAC Relays when he cleared 5.20m (17-0.75) in a jump-off and won the men's university/open title and earned an invitation to compete in the meet's invitational section, an effort that earned him WAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in his career ... He earned his third first-team all-WAC honor of the season at the WAC Outdoor Championships when he finished second in the pole vault ... He also qualified for his first career NCAA Regional meet in the vault and finished the outdoor season ranked 27th in the NCAA in the event.
2007: He earned three all-WAC honors as a true freshman, including two first-team honors ... Took third in the men’s pole vault at both the indoor and outdoor WAC Championships for first-team honors and added a fourth-place finish in the 200m at the indoor meet for second-team honors ... outdoor vault of 15-11 is fourth all-time at Idaho.
