2010 Indoor: Pope became the first Vandal to break the 17-foot barrier in the pole vault, as he broke the Cougar Indoor meet record with a height of 17-3.5 (5.27m) on Jan. 23. He took second to teammate Jeremy Klas at the WAC Indoor Championships in the vault based on attempts after both cleared 17-1.75 (5.23m). He bumped his career best in the event to 17-6.5 (5.35m) at the Runner's Soul Open, earned the NCAA Provisional qualifying standard for the first time in his career and ended the season ranked 22nd in the nation in the event. He earned WAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors after his performance at the Runner's Soul Open.

2008: Pope came up big in his first year with the Vandals after transferring from Idaho State ... He cleared 5.05m (16-6¾) at the Husky Last Chance Meet during the indoor season to tie for second all-time at Idaho ... He won the WAC indoor pole vault crown with a winning height of 5.00m (16-4¾) ... He won the WAC outdoor title with a lifetime-best vault of 5.10m (16-8¾) and earned his first career trip to the NCAA West Regional, where he finished tied for 17th ... His outdoor vault ranks second in Idaho history, while his indoor vault is tied for second.
