Box Score SACRAMENTO—Idaho women's tennis went inside to avoid the rain on Thursday, defeating Sacramento State 7-0. The win pulls the Vandals even on the season and a perfect 3-0 in the Big Sky.

Idaho's doubles play was dominant to open the match. The Vandals clinched the point in two matches, winning at No. 1 and No. 3.  Marta Magalhães and Shion Watabe started the point with a 6-1 win at No. 3. Idaho's top duo of Marianna Petrei and Maria Tavares gave the Vandals the early lead, taking the No. 1 court 6-3.

The Silver and Gold continued its dominance in singles. The Vandals won all six of the singles matches. Watabe got the sweep started with 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6. Lucia Badillos followed up on the No. 3 court. She went 6-1, 6-2 over Sofia Gulnova to put the Vandals up 3-0. Marianna Petrei, ranked No. 39, remained perfect in Big Sky play, improving to 24-0 in her career against conference foes with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1 to clinch. 

Freshman Laura Spataro clinched the match with her third conference win of the season. She scored a 6-1, 6-4 decision at No. 4. Tavares and Magalhães rounded out the victories.

The Vandals will next head to the University of Washington to take on the Huskies on Saturday.
