MOSCOW, Idaho – University of Idaho swim and dive celebrated its senior class of one with a win over Dixie State on Saturday. The Vandals outscored the Trailblazers 178-110 to earn the win.
The Vandals opened up the swimming portion of the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley.

Holly Keir,
Katie Hale and
Rylie Jones won the event in 1:44.89, the fastest time by a Vandals squad this season.
Hale, just a junior but graduating early and competing at home for the final time, would add two individual wins as well. Hale finished the 50-yard free in 23.24 seconds to earn the win, and the 100-yard free in 52.14 seconds.
Jones added an individual win in the 200-yard free, in 1:54.48, while
Zoe Froh took second in the event in 1:55.69. Keir also picked up a first-place finish on her own, in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:06.40. Froh won the 500-free in 5:10.94.
Kaling Phung led the way in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.30 seconds.
Ryanne Bartolome (58.87),
Maddie Timm (59.37) and
Morgan Votava (59.66) finished right behind to give the Vandals the top four spots.
Phung took home another win, in the 200-yard backstroke. Her time of 2:07.47 edged out teammates
Haylee Buyers (2:08.07) and Husaby (2:08.75).
Idaho divers
Allison Shimp and
Hailey Faith competed in both the 1- and 3-meter dives. Shimp won both, scoring 262.60 in the 3-meter competition and 258.98 at 1-meter. Faith finished at 242.03 at 3-meters and 251.25 at 1-meter.
The Vandal relay squad of Hale,
Haily Oldham,
Emma Stahl and
Natalie Crocker won the 200-yard free in 1:37.02 to close out the meet and secure the win.
Idaho now prepares for the upcoming WAC Championships, taking place in St. George, Utah beginning on Feb. 17.
