MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho swim (4-3) heads to the Puget Sound for a dual meet against Seattle University (0-1) on Saturday, Nov. 11. The meet is scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m. PT in the Redhawk Center.
LAST TIME OUT
Idaho traveled to face Northern Colorado two weeks ago, falling short against the Bears, 199-101. Despite the loss, The Vandals were able to record three individual victories.
Catherine Hyde secured Idaho's first win in the 100 backstroke before
Emily Mack added a victory in the 3-meter dive.
Ginger Kiefer continued her success in the 200 backstroke, rounding out a trio of first-place finishers.
Kiefer also recorded second-place finishes in the 1000 freestyle and 200 IM to lead Idaho
IN THE WAC
For the Vandals, there are still a handful of swimmers in the top three of the WAC standings after the fifth week.
The freshman class features three swimmers in the top three of the leaderboard. Kiefer still ranks No. 1 in three events, including the 1000 free, 200 backstroke, and 400 IM. She also sits second in the 200 IM and third in the 500 free.
Sydney Heasman takes the third spot in the 100 and 200 free while
Isabelle Borke places second in the 200 free.
Sophomore
Grace Ruble sits No. 2 in the 50 fly to round out the underclassmen.
The upper class features two swimmers in the top three. Junior
Ella Haskins remains at No. 1 in the 50 free while senior
Zoe Froh ranks third in the 400 IM.
ABOUT SEATTLE U
The Redhawks season took off last week against Simon Fraser at home. Despite the 113-144 loss, Seattle was still able to tally one new school record and three individual wins.
NEXT UP
The Vandals return home next to host the Vandal Invite. The three-day meet will get underway on Dec. 1 and wrap up on Dec. 3 at the UI Swim Center.
