PHARR, Texas – The Idaho swim and dive team wraps up day two of competition on Thursday at the WAC Championships, sitting in sixth place with 134 points.
Idaho started finals with the 200-yard freestyle relay of
Ella Haskins,
Kaling Phung,
Maddy Butler, and
Rylie Jones, taking fifth overall with a time of 1:33.65.
Hailey Faith and
Emily Mack finished their day with the 1-meter diving going 10th and 13th in the consultation finals. Faith finished with 252.80 points while Mack finished with 217.40.
Freshman phenom
Grace Ruble took fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:02.51 while Haskins took fourth place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.15.
The Vandals continue competition tomorrow morning with prelims for events in the 400 individual medley, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, and 100 back, scheduled to get underway at 8:30 a.m. PT. Platform diving prelims will take place at 11 a.m. PT. The finals will follow in the afternoon, starting with the 400-individual medley at 4 p.m. PT.
