ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Idaho swim and dive team fell on the road to Utah Tech on Saturday at the HPC Pool.
The Vandals took home three first-place finishes with
Isabelle Borke and
Ella Haskins leading the way.
The third event of the morning saw Idaho sweep the top three positions in the 200-yard freestyle to add 16 points to the scoreboard. Borke clocked in at 1:55.38 to place first while
Rylie Jones and
Grace Ruble followed in second (1:56.97) and third (1:57.00), respectively.
Haskins earned back-to-back victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
She finished with a time of 24.01 to outlast Mandy Farnum (24.02) in the 50 free.
Sydney Heasman placed third with a time of 24.55.
Another duel in the 100 free transpired as Haskins preserved past Farnum (52.76) with a time of 52.42. It was Borke rounding out the top 3 in 53.62.
Ruble ended her day with a pair of runner-up finishes in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley. She clocked in at 57.52 in the 100 fly and 2:10.52 in the 200 IM.
