MOSCOW, Idaho - While not competing in the water, the Vandals are staying busy, keeping the momentum going at practice and in the classroom.
Just days before the Idaho officially departs from the WAC to join the MPSF for the incoming season, The former conference announced the 2024-25 Spring Academic All-WAC list for baseball, softball, tennis, and track and field. Along with this list was the Academic All-WAC Newcomer Honorees, athletes who have established themselves among the top of the conference academically in all of the conference's sports.
To be eligible for the list, an athlete must have completed their first full academic term at their current institution, have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, and have participated in at least 50% of the team's contests.
For Idaho, eleven freshmen and one senior were named to the Academic All-WAC Newcomer list.

With the imminent departure of the Vandals from the Western Athletic Conference and arrival into the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, this award puts a strong cap on what was a memorable run for Idaho in the WAC. The brave and bold have competed in the former conference since 2006 with three top-three finishes since 2014.
