MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandals picked up a 2-0 shutout victory over UC Davis this Sunday afternoon at Aggie Soccer Field.
 
Payton Oelkers put the Vandals on the board in the 34th minute, finishing off and assist from Alyssa Hamilton. Idaho took a 1-0 lead into halftime before extending its advantage early in the second half. 

Freshman Kalina Barbosa doubled Idaho's lead in the 46th minute, scoring her first collegiate goal with a banger shot outside the 18-yard box. Barbosa has been a regular starter for the Vandals this season, and her first career goal gave Idaho a 2-0 lead early in the second half as the Vandals worked to secure the win.
 
The Vandals kept UC Davis from finding much rhythm throughout the match, limiting the Aggies to just five shots and two on goal. Idaho finished with 13 shots of its own, including six on target, while earning four corner kicks. Paula Flores made two saves in goal to help Idaho preserve the shutout and secure the 2-0 win.
 
The win moves Idaho to 6-2-1 on the season. The Vandals return home Friday, Sept. 25, to host Gonzaga at 7 p.m.
