The University of Idaho Vandals has qualified five divers this season to the Zone dive meet that at Northern Arizona University. Of the seven teams in the Western Athletic Conference that have diving, only four had divers qualify for Zones.

Nikki Imanaka, Hailey Kessler, Indiya Williams, Janelle Lucas and Maren Seljevold are the Vandals who will compete at this high caliber meet, which begins today, that includes PAC-12 schools and Mountain West opponents.

Head diving coach Jim Southerland says it will be a fun experience.
 
"It will be an opportunity for our women to dive against some of the best divers in the country if not the world," Jim said.  "The most current NCAA champion will be there as well as a couple Olympians.  Because of the tougher competition, the judging will also be a little tougher, so it will be quite an experience."
 
This is the first time the University of Idaho has qualified five divers to the Zone meet.
